All parties participate in ongoing\u00a0<\/span><span style=\"font-style: inherit; font-weight: inherit;\">quality improvement processes related to the program.<\/span><\/p><p><span style=\"font-style: inherit; font-weight: inherit;\">ANSC is an option offered to all women assessed as being low risk and suitable\u00a0<\/span><span style=\"font-style: inherit; font-weight: inherit;\">for shared care. The program aims to:<\/span><\/p><ul><li>Provide women with flexibility, choice, and continuity of care<\/li><li>Enhance the skills of GPs caring for women during pregnancy<\/li><li>Promote communication between GPs and participating hospitals.<\/li><li>Cater for the preferences and needs of women from culturally diverse backgrounds<\/li><\/ul><p>The ANSC program is managed by SESLHD maternity facilities with\u00a0<span style=\"font-style: inherit; font-weight: inherit;\">administrative support by CESPHN. It is recognised that GP contribution to the\u00a0<\/span><span style=\"font-style: inherit; font-weight: inherit;\">ANSC program is critical for effective implementation.\u00a0<\/span><span style=\"font-style: inherit; font-weight: inherit;\">The SGS GP ANSC Program Advisory Committee is a forum of representatives\u00a0<\/span><span style=\"font-style: inherit; font-weight: inherit;\">from program partners.
